EVA/DC teamed up with the Woodrow Wilson House in Washington, DC for an Electric Vehicle Rally and Parade on Saturday, June 2, 2012. This was perhaps the largest gathering of privately owned EVs to assemble in Washington, DC in nearly 100 years. There were 20 electric vehicles on display at the museum to commemorate the “President Electric” exhibition and as part of the Dupont-Kalorama Museum Walk Weekend.
Members of EVA/DC were on hand to talk with visitors about electric cars. John Powell, curator, said they set a new record for visitation at Wilson House with 795 visitors on Saturday. He said this would not have been possible without the help and participation of EVA/DC.
The 1921 Milburn Light Electric Coupe, which was the model used by President Wilson’s Secret Service agents is on display through October, 2012.
